Nazi Propaganda

There is no doubt that World War 2 was on of the worst conflicts this world has ever seen. There we atrocities committed for which no forgiveness can be given. However in my opinion this was an important time for art in a positive way. Take the Nazi Propaganda posters for example. The Nazi's were masters of fear and discipline. Yet most of the posters released during that time were emotionally tied. The artists of these posters knew how important it was to keep a positive overtone no matter what was taking place on the front lines or for that matter in the concentration camps. A dominant detail throughout the posters where depictions of the character in a pleasant mood. Always smiling or looking as if they were proud to be german. The posters also had a common theme of incorporating families having dinner or enjoying each others company. I think that the nazi propaganda of World War 2 was very effective in its goals...
